This painting is inspired by our northern forests, quiet shorelines and the feeling of being immersed into something larger than ourselves. Perhaps a surrendering of our continuous chattering thoughts, letting them grow quiet in order to connect with nature. 
The deep mossy greens of the forest reflect onto the water with blurred ripples. And pale blue grey skies move above, also shimmering the reflection onto the water. The painting is built with contrast of light and dark, moody greens and shifting atmosphere, yet there is an undeniable presence of calm.
